Children In Need ... the talk behind the walk

Duke, the drummer
Phil Duke - if you're going to do a 40-hour drum solo, you need plenty of drums

Successful attempt on world record in Crewe
Some people like eternally long drum solos. Some don't. The former however will congratulate a successful attempt by the very-lengthily named Phil Hanuman Das Bhakta, a 30 year-old female drummer, to drum continuously for more than forty hours.
By so doing, Phil beat the world record, and raised thousands for Children In Need. Well done to her!
The whole thing started at 6am (arrrrrgggghh!) on Thursday, November 15th and ended the evening of Friday, November 16th at The Limelight Club in Crewe, with a huge concert.
Phil plays for Invisible Touch, a Genesis tribute band, and they joined her to finish the attempt off.
Incidentally, she performed all the Genesis/Phil Collins repertoire during her stint... twice!
